I started looking for ranch dressing mix because I personally do not like bottled ranch dressing, and I’m not too fond of the hidden valley ranch packets either. To me, the ranch you get in most restaurants is the best because it’s not too thin or too thick, and it taste soooo good! So I wanted to make my own and get as close to that as I could. I used the ranch dressing dry mix from The Crafty Blog Stalker. However, I scaled the recipe down so it would fit in one of my small mason jars.
You only need 7 spices. The original recipe called for granulated onion and garlic. I couldn’t find anything that said “granulated,” so I settled for minced garlic and onion.
I almost didn’t have enough room in this small mason jar for the amount I used. Next time, I will mix it in a larger mason jar. This recipe mix makes 3/4 cup (12 tbsp of mix).
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 4 tbsp dried parsley
- 2 tbsp garlic salt
- ½ tbsp Mediterranean salt
- 1 tbsp minced dried garlic
- 3 tbsp minced dried onion
- ½ tbsp dried dill weed
- Combine all ingredients well. Store in an airtight container.
